At Co-Motion Cycles, turning ideas into tandems is a way of life. From their beginnings in 1988 as a builder of fine custom tandems and continuing today, they have evolved into one of America's premier tandem companies. Co-Motion tandems are different. They're known for their precision handling, almost like riding a single-seat bike. Co-Motion's approach to tandem design is traditiional, but they've not been afraid to discard anything that doesn't serve the purpose of making their tandems better than the competition. The result? Co-Motion tandems always seem to know exactly where you want to go. You're in control! And better control means you can relax and enjoy the ride. Confidence in your tandem will make you a better cyclist, whether you're stoking or captaining. When you know that your tandem will do exactly what you ask, you'll be able to relax and enjoy the ride! How does Co-Motion know this? Simple! In addition to building some very fine tandems, they also ride them. They ride to work, ride for fun, and, occasionally, you’ll even see them riding in competition.

Co-Motion Cycles also is known for listening to its customers, and to its dealers. When they hear a suggestion, from whatever source, they listen, evaluate it, and, if it’s feasible and it makes sense, incorporate what they’ve learned into the new models.

Tandems, Ltd stocks most models of Co-Motion tandems.

Co-Pilot Option

Co-Motion is offering the "Co-Pilot Option" on any steel frame tandem listed above. Yes, that means you can purchase a Speedster/Co-Pilot, a Supremo/Co-Pilot, a Carrera/Co-Pilot, or a Mocha/Co-Pilot. You can even buy a Primera/Co-Pilot or a PeriScope Torpedo/Co-Pilot or an Equator/Co-Pilot! Adding the Co-Pilot option to any steel frame tandem adds the flexibility of being able to take your tandem with you on your trips. Once your tandem is in its cases (we recommend two hard cases or two hybrid cases, but you can also use a backpack case or one hard case and one lightweight case for your wheels), you can check your tandem as luggage. The 26x26x10 size is within the airline limits for checked baggage, as long as you don't overpack. Best of all, it takes less than an hour to assemble or disassemble a "Co-Pilot" tandem. (Some practice may be required).

Price depends on # of couplers required, but usually it will be in the range from $1350-$2000 (over the base price of the tandem)..
